Carey Price

Carey Price is a future, potential goaltending great currently earning accolades for his unique butterfly style as a goaltender for the Tri-City Americans in the WHL. Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Carey Price was the fifth round pick for the Montreal Canadiens in the 2005 draft even before his eighteenth birthday. The Canadiens have a few goalies in the line up before Carey Price gets a starter or even back up position on the team, so it may be a while before we get to see this hockey star strut his stuff in the NHL. However, according to all of the news stories that followed Carey Price during the 2005 draft season, his introduction into the NHL should be momentous.

At his young age, it is surprising to know that Carey Price is already in his fifth year playing in the WHL, one of the three junior leagues in the Canadian Hockey League. Carey Price is known for his ability to keep low flying pucks from making their way into the net. At the same time, he also has a set of fast acting hands that help him catch high flying rockets that attempt to whiz by him. Carey Price will be a name to look out for and a goaltender to fear in the years to come.
