Marty Turco had an excellent game leading the Dallas Stars to a 1 – 0 victory over the San Jose Sharks. Turco had 25 saves in his 26th shutout of his career. Mike Modano scored the only goal before leaving with an injury. Turco had an excellent close-in save late in the game after the Sharks pulled Evgeni Nabokov with another attacker.

The Edmonton Oilers won a 4 – 0 shutout against the Vancouver Canucks on the strong play of Dwayne Roloson who had 36 saves. Roloson who was pulled from his last two starts rebounded with a great game.
