Manny Fernandez

No stranger to hockey, Manny Fernandez has been around since 1995 but has yet to set himself in place. Even though Fernandez is known to be a top of the line puck handler he has a definite problem being consistent between the pipes, a problem that has cost him the number one spot since beginning his career.

Drafted by the Stars, Fernandez has settled in to the number two position well and can perform under pressure with extreme finesse. However, more then a couple of games in a row and he begins to falter. This is the issue that team leaders were working on as they would have loved to see him get more ice time and maybe take over the number one spot in the near future.

Despite his problems he has been nothing but an asset to the team. He has tied several records, including four shut outs. After this he was traded to the Minnesota Wilds and was thought to be their star goaltender for the coming years.

The first season with the Wilds was impressive and cinched his place as number one, but there are now some serious doubts about whether or not he can compete and be consistent for the team. The Wilds are still as yet undecided on his position with the team and plan to give some other prospects the chance for ice time while the decision is made.
