NHL Goalie update Dec.19, 2006

Cristobal Huet had an amazing game allowing only two goals on 43 shots collecting his 13 victory. The Canadians won 5-2.

 

Ryan Miller lost only his 5th game of the season as he allowed five goals to the Canadians. Miller made 24 saves in the loss.

 

Marc Denis won only his 7th game getting help from his 5 goals from his offense. Denis had 20 saves and allowed 4 goals in the victory.

 

Olaf Kolzig was hounded with 35 shots on goal and collected 30 saves but allowed 5 goals to the Lightning in the Capitals loss.

 

Jason Bacashihua had 16 saves and allowed only one goal after replacing Manny Legace who had 9 saves in the St. Louis 4-1 win.

 

Marc-Andre Fleury had a rough night allowing 3 goals and having only 9 saves before being replaced by Jocelyn Thibault who faired better having 13 saves and allowed only 1 goal.

 

Rick DiPietro collected 26 saves and allowed only 3 goals; 2 to Jaromir Jagr. The Islanders won 4-3.

 

Kevin Weekes allowed 4 straight goals, 3 in the second period as the Rangers lost. Weekes had 21 saves in the loss.

 

Cam Ward almost had a shutout but allowed 1 goal in the 3rd period. Ward had 29 saves in the 2-1 Hurricane win.

 

Antero Niittymaki delt with 42 shots on goal and captured 40 saves in a good performance. Niittymaki allowed 2 goals though and got no help form his offense in a Flyers 2-1 loss.

 

Ed Belfour allowed 3 goals on 36 shots. Belfour had 33 saves and shutdown the Maple Leafs for about 40 minutes.

 

Andrew Raycroft allowed six goals on 26 shots through the first two periods before being replaced by Jean-Sebastien Aubin who stopped 9 of the 10 shots he faced in the 3rd period.

 

Tim Thomas got his 14th win and collect 35 saves in a 7-2 win over the Senators.

 

Ray Emery allowed five goals on 20 shots. Emery collected 15 saves before being pulled for Martin Gerber who faired no better allowing 2 goals and collecting only 4 saves in the loss.

 

Kari Lehtonen played well collecting 31 saves and allowing 3 goals. Lehtonen made 2 saves and allowed no goals in the shootout as the Thrashers won 4-3.

Martin Brodeur had 28 saves and allowed 3 goals but allowed 2 goals in a shootout as the Rangers fell 4-3 to the Thrashers.

 

Roberto Luongo allowed 4 goals on 26 shots in the loss against Minnesota.

 

Manny Fernandez had an easy night allowing 2 goals on 22 shots in the win. Frenandez had 20 saves.

 

Peter Budaj allowed 6 goals on 37 shots but got 7 goals from his offense to get the win against Edmonton.

 

Dwayne Roloson allowed 7 goals on 30 shots and collected 23 saves in the loss to Colorado.

 

Jamie McLennan allowed only 3 goals to the Kings and had 27 saves as the Flames get their 17th victory.

 

Dan Cloutier played dispite a shoulder injury and allowed 5 goals to the Flames. Cloutier has 26 saves in the loss.
