Cristobal Huet got his 15th win and almost performed a shutout but a Alexander Semin goal with 2:54 left in the 3rd doused those thoughts. Huet still though only allowed 1 goal and had 30 saves.
Olaf Kolzig faced a strong Canadians team and allowed 3 goals in a 4-1 loss. Kolzig had 23 saves.
Rick DiPietro played a good game but allowed 2 goals and got no help from his offense in the 2-0 loss. DiPietro had 27 saves.
Ray Emery had his 2nd shutout this season but wasn’t ever really challenged with only 18 saves.
Kari Lehtonen had a dominate game with 35 saves and allowed only 2 goals in the Pengiuns 4-2 win.
Marc-Andre Fleury didn’t have a bad game but still allowed 3 goals and collected his 11th loss. Fleury had 37 saves in the loss.
Antero Niittymaki allowed 2 goals and was replaced by Robert Esche in the 3rd period. Esche allowed 1 goal and had 8 saves in the loss. Niittymaky made 22 saves.
Ed Belfour continues his strong play allowing only 1 goal in the Panthers 3-1 win. Belfour had 23 saves.
Niklas Backstrom started at Detroit and he stopped 30 shots but allowed 3 goals in the Wild’s 3-1 loss.
Dominik Hasek continues his unbeaten streak against the Wild with a strong 32 save performance. Hasek allowed only 1 goal.
Jose Theodore got the start but allowed 5 goals and only had 17 saves. Theodore was replaced by Peter Budaj who stopped all 5 shots.
Marty Turco had an off night allowing 4 goals but Dallas still got the 5-4 win over Colorado. Turco had 28 saves.
Miikka Kiprusoff only faced 24 shots but allowed 6 goals including an overtime goal to Sami Salo that sealed the loss for the Flames.
Roberto Luongo allowed 5 goals and had 31 saves but still got the win over the Flames
6-5.
