NHL Hockey Goalie Update

Olaf Kolzig doubled his average goals allowed with a 6 – 1 loss against a good Ducks teams. Kolzig’s protection was sub-average as the short shots hounded Kolzig throughout the goame.
Jean-Sebastien Giguere had a shutout going but a power play goal by Alexander Semin sabotaged those visions. Semin had 26 saves in the victory as the Ducks move to 22-3-6.
Martin Brodeur recorded his 84th career shutout tying for third place in NHL history with the legend Glenn Hall as the Devils get a 2 – 0 victory over the Flyers. Brodeur collected 28 saves in the shutout.
Antero Niittymaki lost his 11th game of the season as he got no help from his offense in the 2 – 0 loss against the Devils. Both of Niittymaki’s goasl allowed came on power plays. Niittymaki had 22 saves in the loss.
Dwayne Roloson and the Oilers captured a win over the Stars. Roloson had his second straight shutout collecting 22 saves in the win.
Marty Turco only had to deal with 15 shots on goal but allowed 2 goals in the 2 – 0 loss to the Oilers. Turco had back-to-back shutouts but was denied as the Oilers collect the victory.
Carolina suffered their third straight loss as Daniel Sedin scores a power play goal in overtime against Cam Ward. Ward allowed three goals on only six shots on goal to Vancouver which sent the game into overtime. Ward collected 27 goals in the loss.
Roberto Luongo collected 37 goals in the loss win but was saved by his offense who scored three goals in the third to send the game into overtime were Vancouver collected a 4 – 3 win over the defending champs.
