Jean-Sebastien Giguere recorded his 24th career NHL shutout as the Anaheim Ducks handled the San Jose Sharks 5-0.  The Anaheim goaltender ran his record on the year to a gaudy 12-1.  The Ducks peppered Sharks goalie Evgeni Nabokov with 44 shots, and he stopped the first 22 he faced before Chris Pronger dented the twine behind him.

Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist had 34 saves for his third career NHL shutout over the Carolina Hurricanes 4-0 in New York.  "I always keep telling myself to concentrate on the next puck," Lindqvist told the AP.  Carolina goalie Cam Ward turned aside 23 Rangers attempts in the loss.

Petr Sykora left his mark on Battle of Alberta, scoring two goals on Calgary goaltender Mikka Kiprusoff as the Edmonton Oilers doused the Flames 2-1 in the NHL's best rivalry.  Dwayne Roloson was solid for the Oilers, with 23 saves.  The veteran goalie won his fifth in a row.
