Ryan Miller
Ryan Miller was born in 1980 in East Lansing, Michigan. He grew up playing hockey, and as a junior came up through the American College system, where he played for Michigan State University Spartans. Miller comes from a family with a very strong hockey background, with ten members of his family having also played for the Spartans.
Miller was taken 138th overall in the fifth round of the 1999 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres, with whom he still plays.
Miller played his fist NHL games in the 2002-2003 season, a total of 15.
Ryan Miller is one of the many young goalies who are making a huge impact with their teams in the 2006 season, and no one is quite sure what to make of the movement in an area where older players have long dominated. Whether because of the rule changes regarding play, equipment, or just a general heightened level of competition, Miller is tied for sixth in the NHL among goalies for goals against and save percentage, with a record of 2.34 and .920 respectively. He has played in 43 games this year, with a record of 26 wins and 13 losses. Click here to add this page to your favorites
